Dr. Richard Baker did an excellent job in explaining DE&I and how to create a strategy for the workplace. I thought I was knowledgable about DE&I, but after taking this class, realized that I really only knew about diversity, but was lacking in understanding the true meaning of equity and inclusion. I believe I can truly be a better manager and make strides to make a diferrence in all of my future endeavors, including living my every day life.

This course exceeded my expectations and provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the importance and intricacies of DE&I within organizational context. Each module was well structured and presented in a manner that was easy to follow. The course also incorporated various resources and materials, including readings, videos and supplementary materials, which further enriched the learning experience.

Overall, "Defining DE&I Specialization in Organizations" was a transformative course that provided me with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to drive meaningful change within my own organization.

Dr. Baker is an engaging presenter. I like his clarity and honesty. He's not waiting for a miracle or assuring us that DE&I was, is, or will ever be successful in organizations. He is showing us ways to keep pushing forward. He is warm, sincere, and inspirational in his methods and message.

Completing a DE&I course has always been a career dream for me, and I am glad and honored to take a DE&I course that Rice University created. I enjoyed the thought-provoking discussion posts and enjoyed Dr. Baker's origin story and explaining why DE&I is essential.
