Interesting and broad coverage of topics related to trade and investment, although the part on the effects of trade and FDI on other variables of interest was way too shallow. Moreover, the difficulty level throughout the course, including the final assignment, is inconsistent: varying between too simplistic and unrealistic. Often, some short complementary information is missing to "round up" a topic or thought. The teaching materials are not harmonised. Particularly, the readings are not suitable as they often do not relate to the previous video and do not have questions associated with them. A complete PhD thesis without any further comments or instructions is not a suitable teaching material for such a course. The self-written texts often have basic errors in them, which have not been corrected, although the course is now already several years old. Instructors do not react to posts in the forums and do not seem to follow the course anymore.
