The Specialization will take you approximately 90 hours to complete, with each course accounting for 25-30 hours in total. Within each course, each week has approximately 6-8 hours’ worth of learning. The total learning time for this Specialization is 3/4 months. Please note that this timing includes optional readings and time for the summative assignments. It is important to be aware that as Digital Health is an emerging field, this is a Specialization that encompasses a wide variety of literature which is reflected in the design of each course.
We do not assume a prior knowledge of Digital Health for any of the courses in this Specialization. However, as a learner, we would expect students to be able to understand and apply the concepts and methodologies learnt to their understanding of the topic areas introduced in each course. As Digital Health is an emerging and multidisciplinary field, please note that this is an evolving area with different debates and definitions, therefore this is expressed within many of the readings through this Specialization. The three courses within this Specialization require the learner to be able to read widely on various topics to understand and contextualise the taught material.
We highly recommend that the courses are taken in sequential order as each course builds on prior knowledge of the other.
