This Specialization is intended for aspiring and developing photographers seeking to build creative confidence and technical fluency in street photography. Through three project-based courses, you will explore mindset, gear, on-the-street skills, editing, and artistic growth—preparing you to express your unique vision from capture to final output. Taught by photographer and educator Troy Baird, this series guides you step-by-step from theory to lifelong practice.
Applied Learning Project
Throughout this Specialization, learners will complete three hands-on creative projects that reflect the real-world process of a street photographer. In Course 1, you'll create a visual manifesto—a personal project that defines your purpose and visual voice. In Course 2, you’ll build a short on-the-street photo series using your own camera or phone, applying techniques for shooting style, confidence, and composition. Finally, in Course 3, you’ll edit, refine, and present your work as a printed photo book, digital portfolio, or expressive photo essay. Each project is designed to deepen your artistic growth, help you overcome creative blocks, and develop a practice you can return to for years to come.
